On the Rocks Podcast: Critical Minerals and Mining's Future with Belinda Labatte

Prospector's founder Emily King sat down with the CEO of Lomiko's Metals, Belinda Labatte to discuss the optimistic future for critical minerals.

On this week's On the Rock's podcast, Prospector's founder Emily King sat down with the CEO of Lomiko Metals, Belinda Labatte to discuss the challenges facing critical minerals and building domestic supply chains for batteries.

Labatte highlighted that there is more than just lithium that goes into an EV battery:

"...the anode material is 95% graphite...so by weight it the heaviest material used in that electrical vehicle battery. The only place you can get that material is by mining it.  So, graphite, if you look at it from a historical perspective, it doesn't look anything like what its's going to look like from a go-forward perspective."

Lomiko is actively developing two main projects in the province of Quebec: La Loutre, which is held 100% by Lomiko and is being explored for high grade large flake graphite, and Bourier, which has been optioned by Lomiko and is being explored for lithium.
